Est. 2026 — London

We would rather make
three hundred good ones.

Belgravia is a small London studio making heavyweight cotton and technical knitwear in short runs. We began because the clothes we wanted did not exist at a sensible price: the weight was always the first thing cut.

A model wearing the Kensington Zip Hoodie in grey marl with the hood up and matching shorts, standing against a plain studio wall.

One garment, one wall,
nothing behind it to help.

We photograph everything like this before it goes anywhere else. If the cloth does not hold its shape on a bare wall, no amount of location is going to save it.

01What we hold to

Four decisions, made once.

These are not values on a wall. Each one costs us something measurable, which is how you can tell we mean them.

01Weight first

We start from the fabric, not the silhouette. A hoodie at 480 g/m² hangs differently, holds its shoulder line and survives being worn constantly. It also costs roughly twice as much to knit, which is the honest reason most brands do not do it.

02Small runs, no restock

We cut between 120 and 300 pieces of a design and then we stop. It means we can use the better yarn and pay the workshop properly. It also means we never need to discount, because there is nothing left over to clear.

03One workshop

Every piece is cut and sewn by the same partner workshop. The people finishing your hoodie finished the last one. That continuity is why the seams on our fourth lot look like the seams on our first.

04Built to be repaired

Flatlock seams, bar-tacked stress points, and a spare drawcord in the box. If something fails inside two years of normal wear, send it back and we will repair it or replace it.

02

How a lot comes together.

A lot starts with a yarn order, roughly five months out. The mill knits a sample length, we wash it twice, wear it for a month, and then decide whether to commit. Most do not make it past the wash.

Once a fabric is approved we grade the pattern across the full size run and sew a first piece in every size, on a body, not a mannequin. The measurements published in our size guide come from those garments, measured flat.

The workshop then cuts the whole run in one pass. When it is gone, it is gone — we would need a new yarn order to make more, and by then we are usually working on the next thing.

03Lots so far

A short history.

We number every release rather than naming a season. It is a more honest record of what we have actually made.

First release. Two hoodies, one lounge pant, sold through in nine days.

  2. Lot 012

Our heaviest knit yet at 500 g/m², and the Knightsbridge tracksuit.

  4. Lot 014

    Bone — current

04

Hear about the next lot.

We write once before each release, the day before it opens. Nothing else.
