Privacy
What we keep, and why.
We collect the minimum needed to send you a parcel and, if you ask for it, an email before a drop. We do not sell data and we do not run advertising trackers.

Who we are
Belgravia is a clothing studio based in London, United Kingdom, and is the data controller for the information described here. For anything on this page, write to studio@belgravia.example.com.
What we collect
If you place an order
- Your name, delivery address, email address and phone number.
- What you bought, in which size and colour, and what you paid.
- A payment confirmation token from our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
If you join the drop list
- Your email address, and the date you gave it to us so we can show consent if we are ever asked to.
If you simply visit
- Aggregate, non-identifying page statistics: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world from, and on what size of screen. No cross-site tracking, no advertising pixels, and no profile is built about you.
- Your cart is stored in your own browser’s local storage, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data clears it, and it never leaves your device until you check out.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- Order data — because we need it to perform the contract you entered into when you bought something, and because UK tax law requires us to keep records of sales.
- Email address for drops — because you gave consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us, and we delete the record rather than suppressing it.
- Page statistics — because we have a legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works, held in a form that cannot identify you.
Who else sees it
Only the suppliers we need to get a parcel to your door, and each of them sees only the part they need:
- Our payment provider, to take the payment and handle refunds.
- Our carrier, to deliver the parcel — name, address and phone number only.
- Our email provider, if you joined the drop list.
- Our hosting provider, which serves this website.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Order records — seven years, which is the retention period HMRC requires for sales records.
- Drop list — until you unsubscribe, or after three years of never opening an email, whichever comes first.
- Email correspondence — two years, so we can honour a repair claim you raised.
- Page statistics — fourteen months, in aggregate.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to our using it. Email studio@belgravia.example.com and we will respond within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will not ask you why.
The one limit: we cannot delete an order record inside the seven-year tax retention period, because we are required by law to keep it. We can delete everything else and will tell you precisely what remains.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We set no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you have not been shown a consent banner. The only data stored in your browser is your cart, kept in local storage under the key cv.cart.v1. It is strictly necessary to make the site work, it holds no personal details, and it is never sent anywhere until you check out.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will email anyone on the drop list rather than quietly updating the date at the top of the page.
Questions about an order rather than privacy are better sent through contact.
